From the often-interesting MetaFilter, this awesome "bootleg" collection, a bootleg being defined as "two or more famous records mixed together with little much else".
Featuring (with a twist) Christina! Whitney! George! Everybody! Can you handle this?

Bye-bye Robert Nozick. He was a pretty cool guy. I should read more of his contrarian stuff. If you felt like snapping your fingers, perhaps to the beat of some music, and you knew that by some strange causal connection your snapping your fingers would cause 10,000 contented, un-owned cows to die after great pain and suffering, or even painlessly and instantaneously, would it be perfectly all right to snap your fingers? Is there some reason why it would be morally wrong to do so?Here's how he made me a veggie.

Didn't we use to do a lot of crosswords? This diary of Slate's crossword maker is pretty funny, especially day 3 when he's very unproductive.
Hmm, and by the way, what's the deal with Pigs in Seattle?
Oh I see...

Yeah I'm a forerunner of the new masculinity. But gosh, scrawny, yes, but brawn? Thanks, I guess.

Thanks for blogging me. As for the ninja website, well, I agree turning up the music is the funniest part: there's no music! Hahaha! Right. Probably a mistake somewhere.
Lucky you to watch TV, I suppose. I'm just working and avoiding work and it's all a big drag. I don't even have the "zing" to find a picture to post. And I haven't seen anything clever on the net. I'm sure I'd be in a better mood if I just met my deadline. Yeah. OK.

More learning-to-blog issues: sorry, but I hadn't seen your one long post. Either it wasn't there because you didn't publish it right away, or it just got hidden underneath all my extra blogging.ch10fr.orl: 22.59% (7 pages) translatedActually if I count them by hand it's more like 10. But maybe the computer knows something I don't. So I'm going to try to keep at it rather than go see Erik (and no, I dunno any "funny ninja" web sites) or go out with Tracy. I feel like such a drone...
Hope you're not having too many tecnickle difficulties...

Here are all our bookmarks.
And this is the Grand dictionnaire terminologique.
(of course you're more likely to get an answer to a request like that by email, since I'm not clicking on the web site every minute to see if there's something new, which is what I was trying to point out in my last post...)

UPDATED: Oops, I screwed up with the interface. What I meant to say is: don't forget to "publish". It's not enough to "Post", because that just puts a post in the blog's memory, but it doesn't show up on the web site. And yes, you have to refresh to look for new posts. It's not really a chat system. Much slower-paced, wiser medium.

Blog, blog, blog. Well, translation's moving along a bit (the computer says I've only done 4 pages but it lies). However the sun is shining, and I think I should go out for a jog.

Hah, first lost message. Did you know that when you type Ctl-W, it closes the web browser? Unfortunately it's also the "Cut" command in Emacs and I confused myself. Serves me right for doodling.
What was I saying? Oh yeah, that it would be nice if there was an email notification every time somebody made a change, so you wouldn't have to check the page all the time in the silly hope something new has been added. Then again, the whole point of this (if any) is that you can just make posts that someone might read at some point but that aren't urgent and don't require a reply. Kinda like doodling.
For example I thought this was a comical article about the two last Jews in Afghanistan, who hate each other more than the Taliban. Essential reading it is not.
